Got a call today from them saying my Honda factory warranty had expired. I had previously gotten mail from them, and phone calls. I took the paperwork to my Honda dealer and they said it was a scam. They called again and I told them to take me off their list, I already took the paperwork to Honda. I wonder if this will work.
This is probably the best response I've seen on ANY of these types of call "complaint" sites. Thank you very much for the useful information. I've long known the DNC list was highly restricted in it's abilities, but never had more useful information to combat the issue like what you've posted. Guess we can all stop hammering now and actually put the screwdriver to work.
Yea I get these calls periodically. The best thing you can do is 1) ask for the name of the company, 2) tell the caller you are not interested, and 3) politely ask them do not call again. Give them 48 hours to fix the problem. THEN when they call after that, send an email to the BBB in your state capital (or at least county seat).
The DNC info is spot on. This isn't the only folly though. It is my cell phone number they are calling. There are regs to prohibit the use of dialers unless they are scrubbed of cell #'s- some states like CA are hard core about enforcement.
I'm surprised lawyers haven't got wise to this, and fired up a healthy class-action suit for the offenders. Heck!! maybe these shady outfits are already in a queue of their own... Haha-karma!!
Called yet AGAIN to sell me a warranty on an Audi. Problem is we've never even owned an Audi. They keep calling and I keep reporting them to DNC (as if that makes any difference at all). Blocking this number.
