I picked up the phone. The following dialogue ensued:
Male Caller: May I speak to the head of the household?
Me: Who is the head of the household? (I was trying to determine whether he was a legitimate caller by seeing if he knew who the head of the household was).
Male Caller: Pardon me?
Me: Who is the head of the household? What is the nature of this call?
(Male caller hangs up).
I have now blocked the caller, so that he will be met with frustration if he attempts to call me again.
Scripted robocall -
"Hello, is Johnathan there?"
you must have the wrong number.
"OK, Well maybe you can help me. .... some sort of police association... money for training...."
no thanks
"....can I send you an envelope ....."
I hung up.
Asked if malcom was there. Told him no. Said "well maybe you can help me". Wanted money for police association. Asked to send an envelope. Okay sure, send it. Said do I feel 100% comfortable making this donation. Told him I do if I can read more information about who I am donating too. Said okay maybe another day then! he hung up. What the heck?! SCAM.
