This is just another robo-called number associated with several Scam rings in the Tidewater VA area. They use over 30 different numbers, some pirated, some spoofed, and offer a varying menu of scams and frauds. In this case, soliciting donations for police and veterans. The worst things you could ever do is give them any personal information or a credit card number over the phone. Blocked!
Excellent technique ! They called and hung-up on my answering machine on July 21. A call back got a bogus announcement that the number was not in service. A scammer for sure !
