This number showed up on a charge to my debit card. After reading other comments, I realized that it was for a payment to my hubby's Capital One card. I didn't recognize it because I don't usually pay that bill. It is legitimate. Thanks for the help!
An large unauthorized withdrawal showed up on my bank Acct and this was the phone number. Says its capital one but funny thing I don't have that credit card. Tried to call it many days in a row and just rings busy.. This is a company committing fraud trying to use the name of a bank that people regonize and most likely have a card for.
I hope you filed a dispute for a fraudulent transaction at your bank - they should be able to reverse the withdrawal. You may then want to have them close your old account and open a new one to stop further charges in future.
