Seems now in Aug 2017 this number is offering work at home opportunities per "Ken" who called and spoke with me. Shows as E Marketing Systems on caller ID. Asked to remove #..female calls me 2 hrs later n I tell her my # was supposed to be removed earlier and ask why they are calling me again..CLICK..the other end disconnects and Im listening to dialtone.
Just received a recorded call that I must call immediately to obtain a case number. Told me it was a federal case. Knew it was a scam but out of curiosity called the number. Voice so heavily accented that I just hung up. Call came from 8047298494
Just returned a call to this number- man with serious accent trying to validate my home phone number and name. I asked him his name and his organization and he commented that I was the one who could give answers. I again asked for his name and organization and he hung up on me! The initial message was something to do with a federal magistrate issue and this was the second attempt.
This message was on my answering machine : "...Will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. Now this is the final attempt to reach you. To know your case number and to speak to a federal agent call back on 804-729-8494 I repeat 804-729-8494 thank you."
Glad to see your posts about this number because my first suspicion was that it was a scam.
