Nicole jones called telling me she was going to serve me papers between 3-5 on friday and then gave me a number and case number to call they had all my info and tried to get me to pay them a large amount and toldnme if i didnt pay they would sue me for much more than that
Received a call from a process server by the name of Nicole Jones. She was looking for a Manuel Perez and that a process server was coming by the house or work on 10/26/2016 between the hours of 3 and 5 to serve him. I called the number back and they stated that they were a litigation law firm and that they sue people. I told them that I didn't know a Manuel Perez and they told me that they would remove my number from their calling list. They continued to call for the next 3 days and leave the same message. I told them that process servers don't call you ahead of time and let you know that someone is being served. They stated that Nicole Jones, the process server, was new and they would pass on the message. I asked them what they wanted and they stated that it was a confidential matter. They stated that it was the office of Leslie Burke. The man that answered the phone stated his name was William Bailey. They put me on hold several times. Beware of this phone number and caller.
Someone named Henry called several days ago left messag claiming to be process and said he would be serving me papers within 2 days at my residence but told me to call back at this number if i'd like to reschedule (is that an option). I thought process servers try to catch you off guard so you don't try and ditch them. Anyway no one has come by my house and this number seems a little off, music just plays while you hold and then they don't even say the company name when they answer. I called and did not give any of my info but asked their company name and address and was told it was the Law Office of ORA & Associates p.o.box 395 Houston TX 77001. I have done a search and can't find anythimg on them. But Henry called me back today from a blocked number and said he will be at my house between 3 and 5 and if i am not there he will then go to my place of business and if he can't reach me there i am somehow not in compliance ( not sure what he means)and will miss my court date. Again since when do process servers give all this information . Oh and they have called family members also. I think this is probably one of those collection agencies because during my search i found several posts with same area code using this method, from what i read they were debt collectors trying to collect on debts that were 5-7 years old some were fraudulent others were unpaid payday loans among other things. If Henry shows up i guess i will find out what i supposedly owe but i am not going to call someone on the phone and give them any of my personal information.
