Received a call from Nicole Kaiser, saying she was going to serve my husband in two days. I called the number and spoke to a nice gentlemen who said that the debt was for a payday loan in 2013. We filed chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2013. He put me on hold to talk to the "attorney" and told me that payday loans are not discharged in bankruptcy because it is a non-credit based debt. That's a load of garbage. I looked up my bankruptcy documents and there is the creditor. I called him back and left a message and told him that his attorney is mistaken. I asked that he call me back to verify the original account number and amount of the loan. And then informed him that if his company proceeds to continue with the lawsuit process his company is in violation of federal bankruptcy law and I will pursue a lawsuit against them. I am awaiting a call back.
They called me threatening me that they would come by my house and serve me paperwork. Confirmed only a couple bits of information which led me to believe they found my information online. This is a total scam. Please everyone out there beware.
