I just received this same phone call. I didn't answer and let it go to voice mail. But it's saying that National Check Resolution and to please call 877-348-3599.
Scam phone call. Received a call from this number this afternoon. Company is called "National Check Resolution". Claimed I owed money to "Classic Group, LLC" (apparently some payday loan from 3 years ago). After asking for more documentation and information, the guy said he could not send me information because they just wanted to get the debt paid and wanted to avoid the hassle. Said I had 24 hours to pay the debt or I was going to be served court papers. He kept refusing to send me documentation so I stated if he couldn't back up his claim, I would wait for my court summons.
Always be sure to get information about their claims: company's name, creditor's name that you owe, dates, anything that can back up their claims. If they cannot, it is a scam. Collection companies will provide you with documentation. And anyway, WHO WAITS FOR THREE YEARS TO GO AFTER SOMEONE??
