Left a insane message yesterday for my minor son, had his first name right but killed the last name saying he owed medical bills. My son recently was treated by CHOP doctors at Princeton Medical Center and RWJ doctors in New Brunswick. I called both and my son's account has been paid in full. I believe some under paid biller or clerk at one of these institutions is probably selling info to friends
No, this hospital is in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. My husband and I have managed to switch all our medical affiliations away from this demonic place. What a breath of fresh air to be rid of them. The extortion scam they were running out of their physician billing made my life a living hell for two years. They totally ignored the rules, and billed us for office visits after we had already paid the co-pay, they billed us almost $400 !!!! in addition to the medical bill -- for use of the "hospital" facility, ie, the same room in the doctor office we had always gone to before the hospital bought the practice -- every time we had our annual echocardiogram, they billed two or three times on the same account, with different and escalating amounts each time, and then sent to collections when we did not pay all three of the different amounts for the same thing, they sent stuff to collections that they had been told by the insurance company to resubmit, they sent stuff to collections that they had never sent us a bill for....on and on and on and on. No more! We're outta there!
Received a call from this number at 12:50 pm today. Caller ID says, "Financial Recovery" 856-669-6224. So, I answered it simply because I am so tired of these damn calls and really wanted to yell at them today, lol! What do you know? It was a recording, not a live person. It asked for my husband, which was odd to begin with. So I continued to listen. They wanted me to press 1 if I was him, or two if I was not. I pressed 2. Still not knowing who this message is from, I listened more. Then the message asked if my husband was available to come to the phone to press 1, if he was not, to press 2. Again, I pressed 2. So, the message then goes on to leave an 800 number for him to call regarding an "important business matter" It still doesn't say what company it is, what it is in reference to, nor an account number. Now, knowing my husband is fanatical about his bills and payments, I KNOW for a fact, he does not owe anyone a dime. After it disconnected me, I searched here and saw all of the comments.
I decided to call the original number (856) NOT the 800 number that was stated on the message.
It rings twice and says "Good afternoon, you have reached the Business Office"....no mention of a company. Then it leads you to press 1 for English. So, I press 1. Then it asks if I am returning a call or responding not a letter, and to enter my account number. Now, I have no account number because I have no idea who they are. So I entered all zeros. It doesn't recognize it of course, so it asks me for the last four digits of my social security number. RED FLAG. I enter 1111. Oops, it doesn't recognize it. So it then asks me for my 5 digit zip code to look up my account. I enter 12345, and it says they do not have this on file and it tells me to hold while my call is transferred to a representative. A woman then states, "Business Office" so I ask "what company is this?", she repeats, "this is the Business office"
Again, I say "you said that already, may I ask what company?" And she proceeds to hang up on me.
So, my opinion is this is not a legit company. My husband does not have any debt so that was clue number 1. When they don't tell you who they are but want your social security number and zip code to verify "your account", when it fact you have no account number...sounds shady to me.
Because careful with this, don't give out your information. I still have no idea what company they were supposed to be calling from or who they were calling for....I hate these kinds of phone calls!
It was "Unavailable" called ID on default Android, though I have a whitepages app on my phone, which comes up Andrea R Morganstein now. They are coming up with new ways to be slimy.
