Called again @ 5:38 this evening. Somebody else in our household foolishly picked it up, and apparently, this "John Rosewell" (I've no idea what his/her/its real name is.) has been receiving error report messages from our computer. Ha! Yeah, right! Sorry, but I'm not falling for that scam one bit.
Do what it takes to protect yourself from these schmucks, people: Don't answer this number when it calls. Block them instead. It's an obvious scam and should be avoided (and reported) at ALL costs.
This person is an Obvious fraudster. He identified himself with a name I didn't understand (he had an accent), then he said "you are using windows, right?" I said, "DO YOU THINK I AM STUPID????" He said, "we are calling about your computer". I said , "YOU MUST THINK I AM STUPID!!!". He again said "we are calling about your computer". I said "STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID" and he hung up.
Just got a call from this number... said he was "calling from tech support". I said "tech support for what?". He said they are getting reports from our computer. I just hung up.
