Called three times. Left a blank message with a lot of distant chatting voices and static. Didn't answer because I thought they were spam. Its odd for me to receive 3 phone calls one after the next when its a telemarketing company.
I have received 2, maybe 3, calls from US Directory today. It seems that all the call center employees have the same call list to go through OR that if the first caller can't seal the deal they have someone else call to harrass you.
All callers asked for the business owner and were told I was the manager - business owner not in today.
All callers had what can best be described as an Indian accent/dialect and sounded to be in a call center.
1 - a non-US female caller (561-235-7791) said she was my Account Rep from US Directory and they wanted to verify my company information before publishing occurred. Sounded like a scammy version of the Yellow Pages, so I looked it up while she was talking. She claimed that is was ONLY FIVE DOLLARS, "THAT'S ALL", to be listed on their site so people can locate your business on the internet. This is NOT true, as their website clearly states it is $5 per month AND $0.25 for each person who visits your site. You give them your credit card number and they charge you whatever they charge you. When I pointed out that it was $5 per month, she said it was only $5 'today'. SERIOUSLY? Uh...NO!

2 - another non-US female caller called with the same B.S. from 917- 267-5566. I swear she said she was with DLP something or other, but turns out it was also US Directory. I told her that I had already talked to someone there 10 minutes ago. She continued with her pitch anyway. When I told her that the business owner would most likely not be interested in giving someone a credit card number for per click charges she tried to explain when the billing date would occur. Sign up today, get billed in February. WTH? Then she gave an example of how 18 clicks at 25 cents would only be $4.50. I said the owner wouldn't go for being billed without knowing the amount being charged. She said 'you can check with your bank online".
3 - 18 minutes later another non-US caller (916-580-0018) called for the business owner. I said I was the manager. He asked me to get the owner for him. I stated that the owner was out today and I'd be happy to help him. I asked if he was from US Directory and he said 'no' and hung up. I called the # back as it is a CA area code and seemed 'safe'. It does not ring through, only get a robo-voice that says "hello.......hello.......hello......etc."
Most likely a spoofed number from Skype caller.
Blocking them all.
917-267-5566 just called our business. Claimed to be calling from Google Plus (aka US Directory). This call was NOT from Google. When pressed for more information about his company, the idiot on the other end didn't even know where Google is located. Reporting the call directly to Google, as well as to the FCC, the FTC, and the Attorney General's Office of New York. This company is clearly participating in misrepresentation and fraud.
This New York number called here twice, asking to speak with the owner of the business with some foreign-sounding moron. First time was politely told this is not a business, is a residence. Second time I said it was not a #$*@#$! business you @#$#$ and I started to hang up and they were loudly protesting. I blocked that number. That's what the rest of you should do, block the number. Nothing else we can do to protect ourselves.
Called our business and asked to speak to manager or owner. I asked who he was, he didn't answer but asked for the owner again. I told him I wouldn't transfer him without knowing who he was and he told me to F*** myself
