My 85 year-old mother received a voicemail from "Mark Smith" with the IRS (917-267-8575) who had a heavy Indian accent threatening her with arrest because of tax fraud. I told her it was a scam. She is still terribly upset and plans to contact her CPA, in case this is real.
I just got "the Call"...
The guy called trying to say he was from the US Federal Government.
But my phone said it was from Morocco, lol!
Answer me this! "Why would OUR Government be calling me from Morocco?!?" ROFLMAO!
So I pretended I didn't understand him, and hung up. Hasn't called back since
