This number has called 7 times in the last 2+days....very annoying. Always lets it ring until the machine would pick up, then no message left. Finally saw another comment about this number on another site indicating it might have to do with veterans. I normally don't block until I see something definitive about who is calling, but enough is enough. Number will be blocked. CID has indicated either "Out of Area" or "New York Call" but it is the same number coming through.
this number has called every day for a week at varying times. I have never answered other than my machine. However my caller id has listed nwyrcyzno8 ny as an identifier. if you enter this into google you get a report that it is a scam operation to scare people and have them send cash. Next time I will answer and I will take their time up asking how I can take care of sending them money. I will act like a believer and act scared and hold them on the line as long as possible and at the end will tell them to go fly a kite but in less nice terms!.
Two different scams using the same spoofed number: one is some version of the loan mod scam for veterans and the other is an Indian criminal (unconvincingly) claiming to be with the IRS. Both calls received on my employer's line (ironically the VA; shockingly, when you answer "VA Office of Chief Counsel they don't want to talk).
