Called, is David there? no my son's at work, I'll take a message, "this is a personal matter" who's calling him, "It's a personal matter we'll just call back" They didn't leave a name but I'm glad to know it was GE Money Bank, I already had the Interceptor ID so I won't hear them call again...
When they call if you are still having these calls, call your local phone comp. and let them know you are receiving harrassing phone calls. There is a way to track the number. Then have them do an investigation and the police get involved. You can press charges for phone harrassment. I had to that with my neighbor. Good Luck
If a bill collector call you, by law if you answer, they have to talk to you. If they do not that is considered phone harrassment. If they do talk to you in some states they can only talk to you a specific number of times within a 7 day period. All states are different. I know this because I am a previous bill collector and know a lot of the laws but they change frequently. Everytime someone sues a company for BIG money, the rules change on contacting "debtors".
Talk to your local phone company on how to track the calls then press charges for phone harrassment. The police will get involved. It does work, you just have to work hard to get the info you want. No need to change your number.
They call til 10 at night. One day alone they called 31 times.

he's the CEO of that crappy GE Money Bank -from now on, for every call they make to me, he is getting one of his own. let's do what they do - just keep hanging up every time his home machine picks up. we should let him know how invasive and violating of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act this is. and it's legal for us to return calls - he needs to be responsible for his rude employees and illegal tactics.
These idiots call from God only knows where, asks for my wife and them hang up, I am SICK of these JERKS calling me, speaking in broken English and then HANG UP ON ME! Then you call them back and they hang up on you again or you get an "All Circuits are Busy" message because the calls are going to 3rd world countries that barely have indoor plumbing, much less a reliable PBX
If they are going to steal our jobs, they should learn how to do them!
