This Indian man keeps calling me saying that I paid for a computer tec service, which I did, and he said that the business went out of business, which it did not, and he wants to refund me my money. Ha Ha Ha. I told him to mail me a check. He said that he had to credit my credit card. LOL LOL. I told him, over and over again that if he could not send me a check to forget it. He just will not stop calling my cell. I contacted my tech service and they can't do anything about it. I cannot block the number because I use an older phone, flip, and it will not allow be to block numbers and he uses different phone numbers. When I call the number back a recording comes on that says it has been disconnected.
That was good thinking you asked to send you a check for the refund. I wish I had done the same thing. I fell for their scam. They had taken more than $4000.00 from me before I realized it was a scam. They are still trying to call my cell phone now but I'm just ignoring it. Be aware that they keep changing their numbers but they are the same scammers.
I got the same call. He said I got service plan with them protecting my windows system. The only problem is that I have been using Mac for years! Then he said they fix all kinds of computers....SCAN!
I paid 279.99 with my credit card this was in November 2015 and now I am being told by "Microsoft" that I have a virus in my PC' I called the credit card company and they are starting a dispute with this other company.
That is because the people you paid $279.99 to put it there to spy on you gather all your information and keystrokes, etc. Microsoft does not call people. You call them. Take your computer to a brick and mortar computer shop in your are and have them clean it. And take the time to read Slim's post as well.
