Anyone being bothered by these calls, should send a cease and desist letter to IMC along
with a request to remove your number from their internal call list.
The Federal Trade Commission, which operates the Do Not Call Registry, says: A consumer may ask a third-party telemarketer (IMC) calling on behalf of a charitable organization. (NRA) not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity.
If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine .
These calls should be reported to DNC authorities. IMC is NOT a charity and is subject to the rules.
It's the National Rifle Association, despite the label IMC. I blocked the outgoing caller ID on my iPhone and called them. Their recording said they were calling me with updates. This doesn't upset me, but I'll join if I want to and most of these organizations employ outside fund seekers, so I don't want to speak with them.
