Political Opinions of America again... They've called on 2/21, 3/13, 3/21, 4/2, and now 4/5. Every time, I press 1 to be removed. They always call from a different number, and it appears that the older numbers are disconnected. They always hang up when I pick up.
This is a scam! The political survey is not real. Do not bother taking it. They're hiding behind a fake survey to give themselves a way around the do not call list.
The free cruise is not free. You will be asked to give them your credit card to 'hold your reservation' and for some supposedly small fees. Those fees will add up and they will not be refundable -- and there's not a damn thing you can do to get your money back.
Do not bother pressing any number to be removed from their list because you are only verifying that your number is a real one.
These crooks have even set up a FAKE website. If you fill out the page asking for your number to be removed from their list, you are not only confirming your number is a real one but now you have given them more of your personal information to attach to that number!
These robocalling scammers are spoofing the Caller ID information that we see. They are using dozens of different phone numbers to hide their true identity. What legitimate company does that?
Please add them to your phone's address book under SCAM or block them if you have that capability.
Last, but not least, report them to www.donotcall.gov each and every time they bother you from all of their different phone numbers. We have to let them know that these crooks are still scamming innocent people.
thank you for doing your homework. I too will bug them. I've been receiving these calls for the past few days and felt duped the second I pressed "9" to be removed from their list. My phone company said that for $4.99 more I can block that number, but I won't waste my money on that because I'm sure tomorrow they'll be calling from a different number.
I picked up the phone and listened. They hung up in a minute without saying anything. Now I'm going to block them. Now: Why would anyone give out their credit card number to strangers on the phone???
