i got a call from this number. i knew it was some dude was trying to sell me something. i yelled at him and told him that i'll report them, he said that they got my number from thier data base,. so i asked him who they wanna talk to, he didn't give me my name. but he kept saying something about data base. i think our phone company is selling our numbers, or these guys just punching in an A number. anyway. i stopped getting calls from this number after me being mean with them. by the way, the guy that was talking to me sounded like from india or some asian country. i could not understand what he was saying.
Caller had moderate difficulty speaking English. He said he was from Total Security System. He said the homeowner would receive a free home security system, and he wanted to know if he was speaking with the homeowner. I immediately declined. (What fool would let a stranger install a security system!) I told him I was going to hang up, and I did.
I assumed he was phishing for personal information.
I am on the no call list, but I didn't mention that to him.
I called the number back and got a taped voice that thanked me for calling back in response to a sales call. Option Number 1 was to be removed from their list. I took that and did not listen to other options. The voice said it would take 24 hours to be removed from the list.
