i got a call from this number. i knew it was some dude was trying to sell me something. i yelled at him and told him that i'll report them, he said that they got my number from thier data base,. so i asked him who they wanna talk to, he didn't give me my name. but he kept saying something about data base. i think our phone company is selling our numbers, or these guys just punching in an A number. anyway. i stopped getting calls from this number after me being mean with them. by the way, the guy that was talking to me sounded like from india or some asian country. i could not understand what he was saying.
Caller ID was "NEW CO", suspicious from the start. When I pickup, I always allow only 1/2 second to hear a noise on the other end or I hang up because it's a computer calling. The computer calls numbers constantly, then, when it hears a person speak at the your end, it transfers the call to a live person. This takes one or two seconds. I've already hung up by then. If it happens to be a real call that, for some reason was absolutely silent (like some cell phones), they call right back.
I just got a call from this moron. Only the caller ID says, "Gresham OR" on it. It went to my answering machine and they hung up. Don't waste your time with the DNC people. They are a waste. I learned long ago they do NOTHING. The same calls go on for months. They are just another government organization staffed with political patronage jobs. They have a data base they toss your complaint into. Nobody reads it. Big deal. I could keep my own data base of these clowns and get as far. Now i just go up to my cable website, log on and block their numbers. It's faster than going to the DNC complaint site and it works. Some of them have different numbers they use, this is true, but the numbers are finite.
