i got a call from this number. i knew it was some dude was trying to sell me something. i yelled at him and told him that i'll report them, he said that they got my number from thier data base,. so i asked him who they wanna talk to, he didn't give me my name. but he kept saying something about data base. i think our phone company is selling our numbers, or these guys just punching in an A number. anyway. i stopped getting calls from this number after me being mean with them. by the way, the guy that was talking to me sounded like from india or some asian country. i could not understand what he was saying.
They've called my AT&T wireless number twice so far today. Since the CID wasn't blocked, I answered and there was a really confused sounding woman with a very thick Vietnamese accent trying for about 10 seconds to get out a couple of sentences in English.
I kindly told her I don't own a home and have no need for security products. She didn't seem to understand me and kept talking after I told her I had to get back to work.
They called again this evening, about 7PM local time but I didn't answer. No voice mail.
I suspect this is some kind of horrible sweatshop for illegal immigrants, since in the background there was an audible sea of people with really thick accents. Indentured migrants? A VPN tunnel back to a 3rd world call center in the far east? We will likely never know.
Got a phone call at 1135 EST today. Told me I had been selected along with 9 others in my area to receive a free Home Security System, Told him I already had one and hung up on him.Has a foreign non-European or Asiatic accent. Have had other calls from this area code regarding my computer. Told him I didn't have one and hung up on him again.
