Got a call from 971-220-1938 a\at 7:15 this evening. They claimed to be the FBI. It was an autoattendant recording about installing a security system, "to hear more press 1 now, to end the call press 9". Sounds like a scam.
Just got a call but my answering machine answered. Caller id was Gresham, OR. Half a recording was made from an automated voice "no cost to you and not cost to install the system what so ever". Press 1 to contact an agent, press 9 to be removed from the call list. Why would I want to do business with a recording?
Robot telemarketing about security system, pressed 1 to talk with Rep, claimed to be from General Electric Security Systems (could be a lie, but they do sell security systems). Caller ID was "Gresham, OR" same as others report. Hung up when I told him I was interest but would need to call him back as this was not a good time to talk.
They have called three times in the last week using different phone numbers. The last one was from (971) 220-1938 ("Gresham, OR") and another one from 971-220-1005 ("Unavailable"). Always the same recorded message about Home Security Systems. I have filed a complaint at https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088B
A recorded message about a security system. What do they really want? I'm guessing your credit card number so they can STEAL your money and/or IDENTITY!
