Got a call from 971-220-1938 a\at 7:15 this evening. They claimed to be the FBI. It was an autoattendant recording about installing a security system, "to hear more press 1 now, to end the call press 9". Sounds like a scam.
Claimed to be GE Security systems. I'm on the DNC list. Robocall asked to press #1 to be connected to real person. When I pressed it person would not honor request to be taken off list but asked if I had a security system. When I asked to speak to supervisor he hung up on me. Filed complaint with donotcall.gov. Happened evening of 1/17 8.30pm, FYI: NEVER answer the question: "Do you have a security system." You are giving a stranger information they shouldn't have...Rude people
I got a call from 971-220-1938 too. But, the automated voice was "Rachel" whom I have heard so many times I stopped counting! She said it was an urgent message, that I could get a lower interest rate on my credit card IF I had a debt of more than $2,500.00. I was to press 3 if I wanted to be removed from the calling list. Interesting that the previous complaints were about security systems. How many different scam messages has Rachel made?? I pressed 3 and how I hope I will have a year free of messages from Rachel. Last year I had 56 unsolicited calls even though I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Furthermore, most of these calls came from the USA.
They called and I wasted as much of their time as I possibly could.
I keep them on the phone pretending I'm interested and then inform them that I've enjoyed wasting their time.
