Hey guys, I got a call from this number a month ago, they told me I had won a cruise. Of course I didn't believe them until I got the tickets in the mail. Well, we just returned from a wonderful, all-expenses paid, Caribbean cruise!!! It was great!!!
(Anyone believe this??? Ha ha ha...I never pick up calls with numbers/caller IDs I don't recognize.)
Got a call this morning from this number. If I don't recognize the number and it's not on my caller id, I just don't answer it. The phone companies need to be held accountable for allowing or providing Robo call capabilities. They are just as guilty as the scammers and marketeers that probably get big breaks on obtaining our personal info and violating the DNCR. Providing our personal info without our expressed permission should be against the law as well.
To add to my posting, got a call on 17 Jan 2012 from Gresham Or with a #971-220-1938. Ya think that the phone companies are abetting scammers and marketeers???? That's why there are so many undefinable charges on our bills. We're probably paying for this harassment and invasion of our privacy.
Receiving calls from 9712201967 but they hang up. There is never a response on the line. Have attempted to call them back but call does not go thru. ZERO SOUNDS...no dial tone or error recording, just NOTHING!!!
Just received a call from 977 220-1967 (no name shown on caller ID). Same cruise-winning message as the call received Jan 17th from 971 220-1938 ("Gresham O" shown on called ID). And yes, we're on DNCR. And yes I too was heartily fed up with those message from Rachel et al from Credit Card Services!
Has anyone been able to trace where the calls are actually coming from? (It is an Oregon number but some organization has to be behind the calls.)
