Yes ! Nova Scotia ... they called today ..... many other numbers of the same. Usually saying they work for Microsoft and found a virus on my computer. Imagine ... Microsoft calling little 'ole me lol
What they are doing is illegal and you are supposed to report it to LE

Sometimes it's computer-generated and they call all combinations of numbers. Also, the phone company SELLS your phone number to telemarketers. I complained to my carrier, and they said "We don't do that - we never sell our phone numbers". I said "YES you do ... I know this for a fact because I briefly worked for a company (not a telemarketer, though) who bought the lists from you!" The post office also sells your info.
This number has been calling me - I just ignore it and if they don't go away I'll answer and have some fun with them. I got the Microsoft-has-found-a-problem-with-your-computer call one time. I played along ... pretending I was having problems following their instructions because I was so upset my computer was compromised and kept asking them to repeat the instruction. I kept them going for over 6 minutes, as they were getting more and more frustrated. They eventually hung up on me and have never called back! I also had a telemarketer call me a [***] when I politely said I did not have time to answer their survey. That was the end of being nice for me. It is an invasion of privacy and unless I have personally given them my number - or they are paying my phone bill - they have no right to be constantly calling.
wow Annie, somebody called you a b***h? I'd call back and get their supervisor. I've worked in call centres (inbound only thank goodness), there are strict policies for what you can and can't say. I'd be all over that s$%t!!!!
I just got a call from this number and picked up. No response when I said hello. I guess I just set myself up for a hundred more telemarketers now or some scam :(
