I have started calling them back! I just did this for this number and gave him the same treatment that he gives to the recipients of his calls - being rude. I am the business owner and anyone who calls asking for me, I just say they are not here. When asked when they are coming back, I say I don't know. I figure it's wasting their time, not mine at this point since I am screwing with their heads. And since they always fail to end the call appropriately, any time I see a number I don't recognize or is a 1-888 or 1-877 or 1-866, I just let it ring...
We received a call from this number saying they were merchant services and could give us a better price for a debit machine. I tried to tell them we didn't need the machine and was put on hold for a superior person and then cut off.
I tried calling them several times but always got cut off. We do not have a business that requires a debit machine as we do not collect money from customers.
Just got a call from this number and the caller left no message and since I do not do business in Oregon outside of one vendor who is registered with me, felt it was a telemarketing call.
These jerks are relentless. I've told them to stop calling 10 days in a row now. The most recent call demanded to 'speak with the business owner." I asked "in regards to what?" told me they could only speak with the business owner to which I replied I only forward calls to the 'business owner' when I have information as to what the call is about... and then they hung up.
