This lady called the business asked for me by my full name, I said they are not here, what could I help them with. They said they had to talk to me only, When I asked for their name and number, They said security then hung up. Later when I got back in the office I told myself what happened, But I have no number to call security back.
"If they don't have a name and number I won't have the time."
When a call from out of town comes up on caller ID, after hello, I often then ask them for their credit card number and code.
My time is valuble and I need to know who to bill for wasting it.
Guy called, I asked who he was, he says, "security". I say, "well, that's kind of vague, who are you?" He says, "security" again and then hangs up.. Telemarketers can be so weird.
I returned home to seven calls from six different numbers. All of the numbers had the same area code and prefix, however a search of each number indicates they are from the same place. My called ID reads "cell phone, OR." All seven of these calls came in a four hour time frame, all before noon. In fact, two of the calls came within eight minutes of each other. None of the calls left a message. The information I had found seems consistent for each number, that the caller identifies themselves as "security." These calls came to my home number, not a business number. I am on the do not call registry, but have found that doesn't really matter. This is both concerning and annoying.
Got a call from this number--they wanted to talk to my husband, who wasn't home. All she would say was they were a "Security" company. Wouldn't tell me anything more, just wanted to know when my husband would be home. We won't pick up any calls that say "Security" on caller ID again.
