Thanks for the post. It is to the letter of what happened to my elderly parents. They gave no credit card or banking info but completely lost everything on their computer, drivers and all. It was taken over by remote desktop and they lost everything. I live out of town and told them to immediately go to my sister's house next door and log in to all their accounts and change their passwords. They called their bank to place an alert as well as ebay and paypal. Just hope they acted soon enough. Scary!
We just had a call from this number which appeared on our phone after the word OVERSEAS - it's one of the many we get wanting us to sign up to Google search engine promotions. The fellow had quite an accent but when I said we were sick of getting these calls and requested that we be removed from their lists AGAIN he said "not a problem" in a very broad Aussie accent.
caller (thick indian accent) claimed there was a problem with my computer. Said it had dangerous virus and what not. I knew immediatly it was a scam and argued with him for a few min and finally told him not to call my house again and hung up.

Missed the call, but it went to the answering machine where a man with an Indian accent called me by name and asked if I could hear him ... he then hung up. Will not be answering this call ever!
I got a call from someone who had a thick Indian accent telling me there are serious warning errors on my computer. I yelled at him to not call me anymore and yelled some more, so it made him hang up on me. I hope he crapped his pants out of fear.
