The voice on the other side of this call said his name was "John Smith", how original. He definitely had an accent that sounded like it was from India. He was confirming/offering a subscription to a professional magazine that I am currently getting.
Got a call from these [***]. Clearly a stupid telemarketer operating from a boiler room in india. They have called at least a dozen times over the last few weeks. Wish they would stop!
THIS IS CLEARLY A TELEMARKETING COMPANY NOT IN THE US! This company has called on Sundays & holidays. 2 or 3 times a day. It's obvious they are not from this country!
They asked for my husband the one time I did answer. They said they were with some magazine company. I asked the guy to repeat it 5 times & STILL could not understand him.
I told him to get someone who could speak English & then call me back. They didn't call for about 3 days.
Now they are calling again.
How do we file harassment charges especially since we're on the National Do Not Call Registry.
This number called me twice last night and again this morning at 6:45!!! I called back (yay caller ID) and left a message for them ranting about how innapropriate it was that they called so early without even a message to identify who it was. I just got off the phone with a gentleman, at least I think it was a live person, he sounded like my circa 1982 "speak and spell" - gotta love outsourcing! He was calling to inquire about my satisfaction with my credit card, I just called yesterday to change my mailing address, but he somehow thought it was a new card...someone is behind on his calls! I get that it's a third party calling, big companies gotta save money right, but he should be better informed and why call for a satisfaction survey when all I did was change my address.
I think I'm going to call my credit card company and let them know how innapropriate I think this intaraction was - though, they may call tomorrow for another satisfaction survey!
If they call, just answer, it'll stop the harrassment and early moring calls.
