I just got three calls from this number today and when i went to call back it did not even ring but a man's voice recording came on and said this number can not be reached and that was it
Received a call from (201) 436-7933. The caller ID identified the caller as Robert Popiolek. The person on the line stated that they were calling in regard to my Visa and MasterCard accounts. I asked who they were. The person told me he was with East Valley Financial - a company that was working in conjunction with MasterCard and Visa in the effort to lower credit card interest rates. He then gave me his sales pitch in the form of 5 lame questions about my debt. Next he said "Congratulations, you've qualified to have your credit card interest rates lowered to 5% APR. One of our account representatives will be calling you shortly to gather your information". He wanted to end the call but I said that I had a few questions first. I asked him for the address and phone number of the company headquarters. I took him a while to figure out what to say. Finally he said the company was based in Tempe AZ but he couldn't find the phone number. I pressed him for the address. He finally gave me an address of 4820 South S avenue 85282. I then told him that I would be doing a little background checking of my own just in case he was trying to rip me off. He said fine and ended the call. Well of course it did not take long to find out that EVF is a complete scam that has been bilking people in trouble out of their hard earned cash. Also, the address he gave me for EVF headquarters doesn't exist. Finally, I decided to call this jerk back. The phone rang and rang and then finally dropped off. I called another 7 or 8 time with much same result. I then used *67 to call anonymously. This time the phone was picked up...by a woman (Mrs. Popiolek I presume). I asked if she was with East Valley Financial, she said "no, don't call me anymore" Knowing that I had not made a mistake in dialing the number I said "But you called me, in order to try and rip me off, I have some questions". She hung up. Anyway I did some background checking on this scumbag and his address is 17 W. 16th Street, Bayonne NJ 07002. If you receive a call from this jerk call him back.
