I got a call from this number this afternoon at 5:49 PM. My caller ID read US Bank. When I picked up, the call disconnected. I have received calls from this number before. This is a scam.
I need this to stop. It uses my data minutes. It says it is US Bank, but I doubt it. I followed the directions to be put on the do not call list but keep getting the calls. Someone must know how to find the culprit and put them behind bars. I got 4 calls from them just today! the number says unknown 201-215-1712.
It's a scam. I called US Bank (I have several accounts with them) and they said it's probably a phishing operation. I want to "eliminate" these people. The lady I spoke to said it;s very easy to spoof a caller ID name and number. Fraking [***].
These quasi-legal scammers are not the real US Bank. They give US Bank a bad name. I don't know why US Bank does not use high-powered lawyers to stop this - or simpler, hire someone to break their kneecaps.
If any lesson from this - NEVER trust ANY phone call or caller ID. NEVER give out ANY information or verify anything they know - not even your name. Don't bother telling them to "Do not call" since they are criminals - it is just a joke to them.
