Received call from Kia at dinner time- not a good time- said they would call back and they have- at all times from dinner time and all evening. I took the time to answer his questions quickly the first time. If they want to know more why don't they just send something to fill out? So many calls are annoying.
The number has shown up on my phone a lot. I too did reverse phone number look up, google ect... Glad I found this site! I own a KIA and recently had service done. Honestly, thought it was regarding a late payment (which is now made). I never answered the calls and no message was left. KIA will bug the heck out of you about the service satisfaction surveys; received 100 calls from a local number (regarding a satisfaction survey) that I did not follow-up on...perhaps that's why I am being called from this out of state number.
Roughly around the same time, between 6 PM and 8 PM, my home phone rings. The first few times, I looked at the caller ID and it displayed, "Kia Motors 201-215-1726." I ignored the call. After a few more times of receiving this call, I decided to answer. The caller was slow to respond, so I hung up. So I redial the number that was on my caller ID. I listen to an automated message that identify themselves as, Kia Research and Development and they would call back again. I'm also on the national do not call list.
Well they called one more time, this time I answered and it was JD power & associates calling about a Kia survey. Of course I never bought a Kia. I bought my latest car 5 years ago. They asked for someone by name I never heard of, I told them they have a wrong number. Maybe they'll never call back.
I too received multiple calls this weekend without any message being left. I called the number back (after reading several posts here) and it was the Kia Customer Satisfaction Research Center. I could not leave a message, but at least now I know to answer the phone next time I see the number. I recently bought a new Kia. I appreciate everyone's posts as it helped me determine if and how to handle the situation.
