AND HERE'S MY RESPONSE:

Thank you, however, your response still doesn't address why your company continues to harass individuals and businesses that are registered on the Do-Not-Call lists, and/or have told the representatives to cease calling, to the point of being a conversation piece and the subject of regular discussions all over the internet.

It shouldn't take an e-mail to the Vice President, and an instruction from you directly, for the calls to cease.  Who really knows how many others that are out there that have not found this avenue of relief as of yet.  This is the real issue.

Have been receiving phone call from his number, I told him that we were listed on donotcall list, he replied that there is no such thing for businesses.  I called back to 800-618-4428, with no good response since they are not responsible for the calls and/or the telemarketing department.  Any other number to call?

Calls once a week, asks for the owner.  I asked if it was a courtesy call (knew it was from reading this website), she said it wasn't, that she was trying to schedule an appointment. Told her I was the Office Manager and that I'd be happy to schedule an appointment. She stumbled over her words, eventually saying that she is not authorized to schedule an appointment with anyone other than the owner. I asked what company she was with, at which point she told me to have a good day and hung up.  I intend on emailing the VP as Linda did last month, and file a complaint.

When they've called previously I've asked them to take our business off their list, that we are on the do not call list.  The just hung up.

SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE, THEY CALLED UP AND ASKED FOR THE OWNER, WHEN TOLD THAT IT WAS AFTER 5PM AND THAT HE LEFT, SHE SIMPLY SAID THAT SHE WILL CALL BACK AND HUNG UP. KINDA RUDE IN THE MANNER THEY HANDLE THEIR BUSINESS.

I received a call from the same number yesterday. They identified themselves and asked for an appointment to give me a five minute presentation about their credit card processing services. I agreed and this morning a young man named Jason came to my office. He seemed wet behind the ears but he was polite and gave what appeared to be a legitimate presentation on his laptop. The service offered free equipment with just a $60 processing fee and a $90 fee six months down the line with just a one year agreement. I told him I do 90% of my business on line and he said no problem. Then he asks if he can earn my business today and I said "no" not until I investigate his company's reputation. He quickly excused himself went out my door and called someone on his cell phone. He comes back in and apologizes saying that his company doesn't process on line transactions. He didn't know because I was his first client. My red flags immediately went up. I asked him where his office was. He didn't have one, he was a freelance sales person. I asked him for his business card. He didn't have one. I watched him leave and took down his license plate number just in case I needed it. My only concern at that point was whether he was attempting to access my computer in any way. I can't see any way he could have accessed my wireless signal which is password protected to use a keystroke program on me, but I'm not that up to speed on all the latest scams. I did not give him any personal information.
