WHAT A BUNCH THESE TELEMARKETERS ARE - I HAVE A GOOD SUGGESTION FOR THEM: COME AND WE'LL PLAY HORSEY - MOM WILL BE THE HEAD AND YOU CAN ACT NATURAL FOR YOUR PART!!!!! WE ARE ALSO ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST, BUT THIS ONE GETS THROUGH SOMEHOW. I retrieved a voice mail message from my home phone while away from home today and the "message" was a grunt of about a syllable, then a hang-up. I did the * 69 upon arriving home to get the number, finding it was 201-228-1061. Are these people bored during winter? Are they trying to make Valentine's "pals"? I registered months ago on that "Do Not Call" list and am glad that the Internet allows me to do a search. I have no relationship with any entity that has info about the warranty on my 11-year-old car: in fact, I am this nice car's 4th owner. Another number that seems to delight in considering itself obliged to call a person on the "National Do Not Call" Registry list it turns out belongs to Dish Network. They are more articulate: their messages consist of "hellohellohello", then a hang-up, putting me in mind of Mrs. Whiggins of the Carol Burnett show. I have before tried to do the nice coaxing thing, asking they not call; I am told that by having contacted them (Dish Network), I am activating myself as a person they will mark to continue to call. I am hearing Joseph K call my name.
