Received call at work from this #. Claimed to be an urgent message about our credit card . . . our company doesn't use credit cards so knew it was a scam. The fact there's no # to push to be removed from the call list was a clue too.
Thought I'd call them back - got immediately connected to an automatic message stating I could press any number to be removed from the list, so I did. We'll see if it works.
If you recieve an illegal call, do not call the number back and do not press a button. Scammers use robo dialing to call numerous victims. Pressing any buttons or calling the number back validates your number, which could mean more calls.
If they didnt leave a message, it it is a telemarketing call, ignore it. report it. warn others.
Get calls from them all the time. Shows up as "Survey" on my display. They haven't figured out how to spoof their phone number like so many other scammers. They must get some people to give them the information they want since they've been doing these type of calls for years now. Feel sorry for the elderly that fall for it.
No doubt these original overseas since they don't have to abide to the DNC list.
Sigh ..... no shortage of bad people out there. You can't be too careful.
