Called at around 6pm EST, tried to say they were from Microsoft or Dell and were receiving errors from my computer. Asked me to to open "event viewer" to see the 'errors' (which are nothing) to scare me. Wanted to get paid $199 for a warranty to fix them but wouldn't explain exactly WHAT was wrong with the computer and they were gonna ~shut down my computer in two weeks~ (lmao!)
201.942.0539 They've been calling me for a while- finally picked up and a man with a heavy accent, claiming to be from Dell, started telling me about an insecure internet connection. Tried to get me to run event viewer, but I googled the situation and found out that lots of people were getting scammed this way. I asked for a number and said I'd call back before doing anything else.
The number they gave me was: 800.825.5771
Best part was that he said his name was Eric Jackson... homeboy is tryna pull a Tom Haverford from Parks and Rec
