201-267-5646 While we've had multiple calls from this "company" they called us 2x w/in 1 hr tonight! Shows on Caller ID as "Cell Phone NJ" (also gives 201-267-5646). Fully knowing it's a scam, we decided to answer toinght. Hubby fielded the 1st call at 6:56 pm stating we're on the Do Not Call list and asked for removal from their db. The female said it didn't apply to them and hung up on him when he pressed further. At 7:33 pm, I fielded #2 call from the same # and decided to have a little fun (again, knowing is a scam). "Cindy" asked if I was interested in lowering our credit card rate. I said possibly - but my interest was in knowing which card. She said she didn't know, calls are computer generated from tens of thoursands of clients and they just "come up on the screen" w/only caller info, no credit card info. I asked how she planned to lower my rate if didn't know which card. She asked if we were interested in a lower rate, and I said yes - how can you lower my 0% interest? B/c that's all we have. She became increasingly rude and talked over me, while I remained very calm. I questioned the name of her company and she replied "Card Member Services". When I asked where she was calling from, she stated AZ, which I told her was a lie, she's in NJ & gave the number she was calling from. I also requested removal and she said it didn't apply to them - I said yes, it applies to all unsolicited calls and I'd be reporting them. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said she'd transfer me. Of course I was hung up on. But the next time they call, I am going to ask them to hold, set the phone down and get my whistle, then ask if they're still there. If so, they'll be having to use their other ear for the rest of their calls that evening. Please people, be smart and don't give out your personal info to scum like this over the phone.
