I believe the number is wired, so I chose wired telephone. Then I chose telemarketing calls. Then you can fill out a form or call a number for the FCC. We don't need to sit here getting harassed.

I think this is probably the right answer for you. There are ways to use Google Voice or VOIP, but these approaches are a little more involved to implement.
BTW - DO NOT tell any unwanted callers about your husband's situation. They will not be compassionate and stop calling, They are predators, and if you convey a vulnerability they will simply use it to their advantage and come at you all the more aggressively.
