An Iphone (AT&T carrier) with a 201 area code received a call from 201-367-2009 at 10:14am CST on Monday, Sept. 29th. No voice message was left.

Called 201-367-2009 back later same day, and this is what the pre-recorded answering voice says:
"Hi!, this is Lisa with Reward Redemption. You recently visited one of our affiliate websites; and in appreciation we have a one hundred dollar rebate card for you, redeemable at popular stores.
Press '1' to receive your one hundred dollar rebate card; or press '2' if you would like to be placed on our "Do Not Call List."
(Message repeats if you press nothing)
After pressing '1' the guy with an Indian (South Asia type) accent answers with "rewards department", he does not give his name. He said that either an online survey was made or a purchase at a major brand store.
Post includes extra bit about area code, phone, wireless carrier, & time zone in case there is a related trend. It seems like it would not make a difference with this added info....but what if it does show a surprising trend? If so, it might help lead to the caller/company.]
*Note of Interest: No NJ specific websites were visited recently. Why does a telemarketer company use a (201) number to contact a (201) cell phone? More importantly why did the American politicians trample on American citizens' rights by allowing companies to call individuals by default, instead of requiring it the other way around (i.e. companies would need American citizens' approval first, before calling, and if proof of individual's approval was not able to be shown then the company would have to pay the same penalties they currently pay when calling people after those people are already on the company's "do not call list".
