I just returned the call. It is from a "reward redemption". It claims it is calling "because you've visited one of out affiliate's websites". It's the same type of junk we get in our spam boxes but they are now calling us at home or work.
Called my cell 8/15/14. I didn't answer, and no message was left. Have received similar calls recently and it appears that other posters here have, too. Somehow, I feel that I must be on some rotation of these aforementioned spoofed calls (perhaps from vendors that I deal with whose information was hacked), from various numbers (i.e., from MN, AZ, or what appears to be MN and AZ). Alas!
Same as all of above. Rings once,ID number but never a message. Don't answer any calls unless we can identify number.It is obvious scams are getting worse and worse.
They rung once & do not leave message, if you call it, it answers with recording of telling you the option of blocking this number on a do not call list if you prefer,& saying what number to press to block or to except.
What is strange is there is no explanation to who they are & why they are to begin with.. For them to be giving a person an option one way our another if they have no idea who in the heck they who called them are to begin with makes it very odd& out of order in how things should be done. I don't want to push anything that would become a scam of connection to though it making it sound like it would block but doesn't. I don't need their phone calling harassment!
