These r criminals!! They call constantly. Had some problem with calls coming from Chicago area code. Called my state attorney general, nothing he can or will do. Talked with fabulous lady at my state department of commerce fraud division. She said don't even answer. After a while (could take weeks) they will stop calling and move onto someone else. And she says almost impossible to file criminal charges cuz they just change their phone number and keep doing it.
U can't. I've tried thru legal process. Nothing anyone can do. Was advised just don't answer any phone # u don't know, don't give caller ID info, or u don't check out phone # first. Very sad, but that's our world today!!!
Dont know about the US but in the UK we can get 'phones which have something called Call Guardian fitted. This stops all nuisance calls. It asks the caller to give their name and press #. If they don't do that the call is blocked and your 'phone doesn't even ring. Of course, robots can't press buttons and scammers don't like to give names so that stops 99.9% of them. If the .1% do as asked but you still don't want to hear from them again you just press 3 and they never get through again. You can even give friends and family a different ring tone so you always know when they are calling. There are also call blocking units like TruCall which you can use to block all calls.
