When you call, it says to input the extension number you are trying to reach. But it goes directly to a recorder after that. The message left on my machine sounds like a warbled voice sounding asian man:) No really. But I realized it is a recording to entice me to call. Is it to get my information so that it can be sold to telemarketers?
Just received a call from that number.
The guy with clear indian accent asked for Alex.
I confirmed that this is me.
He said that he overpaid me in the last paycheck for $1000.
I stopped him and asked to start over with his name, company, and why he is calling me.
He immediately hang off the phone.
This was a call from a recruiter with Mind Lance, a staffing firm in Hoboken. He sent an email just after leaving his phone message. He is American judging by his voice. Many recruiters are Indian.
