Let's see, they want you credit card number but hang up when you ask for more information ... what is about the concept of a SCAM you don't understand -- because that's EXACTLY what you described!
No legitimate organization, including a "charity" works this way. If this is how the do business, they should be out of business.
I can only assume that your dubious livelihood somehow depends on this scam, otherwise you would have no reason to look the number up on here. Nice try (well, not so nice, really).
I NEVER donate to these calls. If I'm going to give to the PAL it's going to be in my community, not some HUGE organization that ignores the DO NOT CALL list.
My cell phone has been on this list for four months and every a-hole under the sun is callling me now.
Then why does the PAL hire an organization that takes about 40% to 60% of what is collected by these bulls*%t phone calls and the PAL only sees 40% to 60% for their programs. get a life and ask one day when you are at your PAL who collects the money, what percentage the PAL gets from every dollar collected and who calls and bothers the elderly all day with their phone calls. if your going to donate just tell the person calling what i telll them "I donate directly to the PAL and they can stop calling, if they call again I will not donate a single dollar or a minute of time" works for me as I only get one call a year.
