I receive a call many times during the day from 201-465-8180. The last two times they called me (within 30 minutes) it sounded like they were blowing a horn at me and then the very last call someone just kept saying "ummmmm". So annoying. Wish there was some way to block these people. Also, I work late at night and they start calling around 8 am. Any way to block this number? I am on the No Call List.
The Do Not Call List tells legitimate, law abiding businesses that you don't want telemarketing calls. And guess what? Legitimate, law abiding businesses don't call trying to sell you stuff. Crooks running phone scams don't follow the Do Not Call List any more than burglars obey breaking and entry laws. Why on earth would you expect them to?
Called me too. I just saw the post below this says the same thing, but it's important so I will say it too, the do not call list is for real companies, it doesn't stop scammers. If u are on the do not call list, and tell the caller, and they keep calling then they are scammers (you can get a U.S. phone number anywhere in the world, the location means nothing). These folks are like a dog with a bone once they get your number, which another hacker/scammer probably gave/sold them. They try to get your money or ID through a million different scams. Do yourself a favor and don't give them any information. If you can, block or decline the call or tell them you are reporting them to the FBI or anything, just don't ever give them any personal info, even who you are.
Oops, I mean the post above, not below, is right -- do not call list won't stop scammers. If you are on the do not call list & get these calls please realize they are scammers and don't give them information. They are not calling from Kohl's -- they make up different stories to get your money or identity. If you think it's a legitimate debt call the company yourself, never trust a call from an unidentified number.
Got a call from 1-201-465-8180 on my cel phone. I don't answer these callers i don't know but today getting my phone out i bumped the answer button and someone said hello and then hung up. I get all kinds of these stupid calls.
