To anyone whom has filed out the silly ads of Facebook, or anywhere else with those ads, for those whom don't know there is GPT world too which is nothing but those ads as they call them offers. Ads companies pay ppl to do them .The thing is if you do those ads or any like them, and you submit your information it LEGALLY gives the third party companies like these to call you,it is all in fine print on the pages most the time UNDER the submit button where you won't see it. But what happens is you submit your information. Thus giving them legal rights to it. They in return either call you like crazy or sell your information to other third party companies. I mean TONS of companies and the cycle just keeps going. Not to mention some of those ads have in fine fine fine print that if you submit you are agreeing to the TOS(terms of service) which can cost you money and ALOTS sometimes. Same goes with landlines or cell phones numbers. Like some of those ads have pages for services like voice mail or unlimited long distance which ends up showing up on your phone bill for anywhere from 9.99-19.99 a month. Not to mention alot of people put in fake information on those ads which it ILLEGAL BIG BIG BIG time, it is considered fraud, but they do it anyways so that the companies dont call them, they call whomever's number they put it. Not even having to know the people. It would be like one of us doing them and putting in JOhn Smith information in New York when we live in say Alabama. Well they aren't calling the Al person they call the numbers input to the forms. So even if YOU don't do it anyone can really. It not hard to say ummm... let's use 123-456-7890. I am sure somewhere that is someone's number then these companies call them and not the real person. Thus either you do those ads and don't read the FINE PRINT or someone somewhere is giving out your info instead of theirs and they don't even have to know you. Now it's the computer and internet such a WONDERFUL thing.
I keep getting called by this number. They ask for "Harry." Obviously my name is not Harry. I've had my cell number for 10 years and never give it out to anyone I don't know in person precisely for this reason. Whoever "Harry" is, I hope he rots for giving out MY phone number. What an (*&^hole!!
I get 2-3 calls from this number every day - at all different times, including weekends. I have told agents to remove my phone number and also left my number on their 'Do Not Call' prompt when I called the number back. BUT, they just keep calling and calling and calling. Getting me really ticked-off!!
