Just another irritating telemarketing cold call. The caller did not know what to push on me - it was either continuing education, or a new computer. I'n on the DNC - but that doesn't seem to slow them down - anyone post a link on how to report them?
I befriended a lady on a singles website who claimed to be going to school in England. I grew increasingly suspicous because of her comments of "Loving Me" within the first 45 minutes of our conversation. I had heard stories of fraud being carried out by Liberian nationals among others, against those who were in need of friendship and gullable. I decided to do some of my own research and yes it is well documented that
that form of fraud is very rampent. So I then played the woman out, acting like I was a free ride up untill 2nights ago. I told her I would be sending her money $800usd and after we hung up I deleted her from everything, yahoo address, yahoo messenger, etc... Then unexpectently I received a phone call on my Cell phone from
you guessed it..the + simble is used when making a international call.
+201-520-9341. It was her claiming to be using a friends phone in England.
I have blocked that number as well. But now I have recieved calls from other numbers like this one from the New York area 914-339-5531. The 201 phone number I believe originates out of country. I have been unable to pin point where exactly but I have ruled out the United Kingdom, where she was supposedly going to school. I dont know if this helps anybody but I thought I should post it just in case.+
It's not just from England. It's not just Facebook either. It's Africa, England, Russia, India, all of them. They get your info from Facebook, Tagged, Myspace, Just about every "Friend Finding" website. Trust me. I have some guy from Nigeria still telling me he loves me. I get a phone call from the +2015209341 number everyday at least twice a day. Never gave him any of my info other than my nickname. Within 20 minutes of talking to me, he was asking me to marry him. I laughed at him. These people are very annoying, but there really isn't a lot we can do to get them to stop other than blocking their numbers. That still doesn't stop them.
I just got a call from the same number but I did not answer the call. I wonder how they are picking the people to play that type of game with. The government should look into this before it turns into something else
