I am on the National Do Not Call List but get this call more than my caller ID will hold. Because I am expecting a call that may possibly say "unavailable" on the caller ID, I do answer all calls but because of something I read on a web site I say nothing. Some of these calls are voice activated. Today I waited to see if anything was said on the other end & finally got a recording that said it was used for telemarketing purposes so hung up. I won't forget this number & won't be answering it again. Sad that these people can't get a life & stop disrupting others lives.
i am too. i dont think it applies to businesses. anyway, i operate a small store in middle america and my rep catherine was/ is very helpfull and certainly save me a boatload of money. i almost stopped accepting credit cards in my business, thanks to allstate merchant services my business is doing alot better.
you people need to stop bashing the hard working people in the company and give them credit for trying to help us.
go to www.allstatevmc.com get the number and call catherine. there is no set up fee, the rates are reasonable and they even give you terminals to use.
What is the National Do Not Call Registry (www.donotcall.gov)? They create a LIST of people who do not wish to be called. Telemarketers calling residential numbers MUST have their call center computer systems check outbound calls against this LIST. I repeat LIST for DO NOT CALL.
So, please explain how there is "no national do not call list".

The, itself questionable, RipOff Report (people say this site's owner essentially extorts businesses with bad reports if they don't "play") says that "Eric Igor Kuvykin the Ceo of Allstate was convicted & incarcerated for stock" fraud. http://www.ripoffreport.com/Credit-Card-Processing-ACH-Companies/Allstate-Merchant-Se/allstate-merchant-services-ll-d6w59.htm If you search the web for them or their President, Svetlana Shneydershteyn, you will find site after site of PR releases and references to slander by a former PR person. There's also a NY State Court case but that seems to be related to employment practises and not marketing.
