Got a called and a Voice mail was left " Press 1 to be transferred to our security Department"

Beware

said my master card had been  lost. press 1 to connect to their securities. Stayed on the line without pressing anything and call just hung there

I answered the phone and a robotic voice told me my pre-paid MasterCard had been locked.  Since I don't own a pre-paid mastercard, I hung up.  It's a scam of some kind, but I wasn't about to take the bait.

Automated call from this number said my my prepaid CC was locked and wanted me to input the credit card number to continue! do people really give up their CC numbers to these scams that easy?

Scam, scam, scam! I hate that i answered the phone but they called me at midnight, so i was worried it was a family member or someone i knew that may be in trouble. Turns out they told me my mastercard is now locked- i dont have a mastercard. Once i heard that i immediately hung up the phone. I get so worried about calls like that. Worried someone can access my info. That number is now blocked but its so frustrating!
