This was a human, although with a bit of a foreign accident, calling to verify delivery of those alternative yellow page directories. They're just checking up to make sure the delivery crews they hire are actually doing their jobs and delivering the directories in good condition vs chucking them in a dumpster and saying they delivered them.
P.S. As someone who has delivered yellow pages in the past and done it like I was supposed to I'd ask that you provide truthful feedback as nothing feels worse than watching co-workers not do their job and get paid the same as you.
