Wil be coming to my house and workplace to serve me with the police. They do t say who they are, nor do they say who they want. This is pure harassment abd something should be done.
Id themselves as "Compliant Management Solutions". Won't give you any more information. They call from several numbers. Total scam.
They've also ID themselves as the "Mediation Division". Scammer double talk for debt collector.
Other sites make them out as
pretending to be some government agency or another.
Ignore and
block any calls form this number or anything that's calling itself "mediation division"
or has the word mediation in it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand.
I answered and a female voice recording gave a number to call back before prosecution over a dept proceedings were to begin. Wanted verification of my address, work, Name, etc. Called number on dial back, got a male named Gates. As soon as I gave back the supposed case number and said I wasn't giving any information until they explained, I was told "Ok, we'll remove your name from calling list" Has to be some kind of scam, and hopefully calling back doesn't give them access to phone or something.
Just got this call today from this number, what the heck is going on? I see a lot of people saying its a scam and the same thing that was said to them was said to me in a voicemail. Nothing about my name or what this is in regards to, just a bunch of threatening sounding nonsense. Thoughts?
I answered this call and they said this "message is for..." There was no name given on the recording. My call then started to break up and I heard the words "you have been served" then was given a case number and that was the end of the call. I was never given an option to replay the message, never given a call back number, nor an option to speak to a real person.
