i just got a call from this number myself, but i looked it up on google and it turns out to be scam. they say i was approved forup to 5000. i got in one like this before and lost over 2300. please people turn these people in. i work hard for my money just like you do, dont get caught like i did.
Yes, happened to me, too exactly like you said. I see you posted this 4 years ago. They are still at it. They then wanted my bank account info & when I told them I did not want to give that kind of info over the phone & asked them if they could mail me the check. LOL That really tripped her up & they said but direct deposit would be quicker. I told them I didn't mind waiting for the check to come in the mail & asked how how would it take. The woman said 5-7 business days. No check yet. LOL What a joke & scam & I pray that these people are found & shut down. Do you know how many elderly people would fall for this. SCAM SCAM SCAM
I got the same call from middle eastern guy named Calvin Olsen or some [***]. I knew was a scam pretty quick but I just listened to see how he get paid. He told me I have three options to receive the "grant" 1) Western Union or Money Gam (classic) 2) Give them my Bank info for direct deposit & 3) If I have a prepaid debit card they can send me the money there. I said I don't know where my [***] is right now and he said "It's fine you call back in 5mins ok?" I was like sure thanks bye! I guess when I decide on an option to receive the money he'll ask for his share. I wonder where they picked up my contact info?
Well I pretty much got the same story just a different #. They first call from a long crazy #. Then they tell you that you have been selected to receive $6700 in Grant $$ that you don't have to pay back. Then give you another # to call but they say you have to send $180 to receive your direct deposit in an hour or within 24 he's if you want the check mailed to you.
These people really need to be placed in jail. I should have known better that you do not have send money Western union to get a loan. i am out of 1,000. Jarred black told me I would have pay $350 just to get my money back. What a scam? I wonder why the good ole USA has not arrested these thugs or at least shut them down.
